We all know that site selection for a vineyard can make or break the grapes.  What if you could go to a website and find the perfect spot?  Those days are not far off.  Cornell University is in the process of developing a Vineyard Site Evaluation website that allows users to find that perfect location.

At this point, the precision is only down to a 3 miles area thus there is some error, but they are working on bettering that for the future.  They are also working on pairing varieties with location and taking out some of the guess work.  Wouldn’t that be great in Oklahoma?
