Dr. Tim Martinson at Cornell University puts out a great newsletter entitled ‘Appellation Cornell’ (http://author.cals.cornell.edu/cals/grapesandwine/appellation-cornell/issue-5/).  In this issue is an especially pertinent topic for us in Oklahoma — How Grapevine Buds Gain and Lose Cold Hardiness.  This is crucial for growers to understand when growing grapes in a continental climate.  Dr. Martinson is an active member of our national Grape Community of Practice too.  I would suggest subscribing to the newsletter to gain some perspective on grape growing in other areas of the country.
