This will be my last posting for 2010.  Tomorrow the University closes for the holidays and will not re-open until Jan 3.  I know that I don’t need to be at work to do a post, but then again I need a break.  Some time to decompress from the year and gear up for the next.  2011 promises to be an exciting year — another grape short course, the launch of our national extension project, and lots of other good stuff.  The last months of 2010 have been packed with paperwork — mainly grant proposals and for my promotion to Associate Professor.  But now I am (mostly) caught up and can go home today with some peace of mind that nothing urgent is lingering in the rearview mirror.

So, to all of you (as Stephen King would say) constant readers, enjoy the holiday season and come back again in 2011.
